The promising 21-year-old was in a medically induced coma since 11 March until the club announced his death.

Nanchangis, who made his first appearance in October 2016, is the third player to die in nearly two years after midfielders Mondley Sissi, 27, and Melinda Dlamini, 20, have died in two separate incidents.

Maritsborg are fourth in the league and have reached the May 19 local cup final.
