She obtained a National Diploma in Drama and Production from the Durban University of Technology in 2020 and is originally from Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
In an episode that aired on August 31, 2020 (Season 6, Episode 129), Mandisa made her television debut on Uzalo as Liyana, a young woman who threatens to separate Sbu and Fikile.
She played the part again the next season, in 2021, as a recurring character.
Mandisa received her first leading role in the Moja Love drama series Erased, which made its channel debut on September 6th, a month after making her Uzalo debut.
Next, she was cast in a recurring role as Sonto in the e.tv soap series Durban Gen. She made her debut in Episode 52 of Season 1 on December 15, 2020.
In the SABC1 miniseries Hush Money, which centers on the cover-up of the death of a young medical student after she is killed by a drunk driver with influential friends, Mandisa was given her second leading role as Nandi Buthelezi.
