DJ Tira, the celebrated Durban-based DJ from South Africa, is known for his unwavering support of emerging talent, having paved the way for artists like the Qwabe Twins.
Recently, a snapshot of Big Brother Mzansi contestant Liema alongside some of the country’s most prominent musicians caused a buzz on social media, with DJ Tira among them.
During her time on Big Brother, Liema faced a pivotal decision on March 18: to either continue competing for the grand prize of R2 million or leave the house with R250,000. She opted for the latter. Liema, recognized for her vocal prowess, was presented with an opportunity to collaborate with South African singer Cici on a song, which they co-wrote.
Cici took to Instagram to share a video of herself, Liema, and DJ Tira dancing to their new song “Impumelelo.” The track, garnering significant attention, soared to the top of the charts and amassed a plethora of streams.
In July 2024, DJ Tira further demonstrated his support for Liema by sharing striking images of them together in Durban on Twitter. The online community buzzed with excitement over the photos and videos, praising Tira for his role in assisting Liema on her journey.
