The Idols SA winner Musa Sukwene and his wife are criticised on social media for their wedding outfits.

The pair trended after Limpopo fashion designer Bonolo Mashilo of BMashilo Designs shared photos of their traditional wedding attires on X on Sunday, 6 October.

South Africans asked on X whose tradition Sukwene and his wife’s wedding outfits were representing as the singer is South African.

@Boiity_M says: “They don’t like Nigerians, but appropriation of their culture is ohk.”

@sewelankoana asked: “Why are they wearing Nigerian tradition?”

IOL reports that the newlyweds also welcomed a baby girl this year and became a family of three.

SOUTH AFRICANS CRITICISE THEIR WEDDING ATTIRES

@keahendricks: “It’s always “mabahambe” but they want to wear their geles?”

@_Mzamo_: “Between the two of them, who’s tradition are those outfits representing?”

@Da_blacksheep_: “They must be ashamed of themselves for wearing those Nigerian outfits. Imagine looking at your wedding pictures and u dressed like this.”

@khumotings: “A clown will say “are they Nigerian”? Yet if it was a white wedding the same clown wouldn’t ask if they were European or not. Self-hate is a funny disease.”

@loumnandi: “Why people getting chest pains while been busy attending white wedding never brought same energy.”

@CuriousCourtnie: “Lmao! Y’all hate Nigerians but will dress like them?”
