Sindi Dlathu debuts on ‘Isiphetho’

Former The River actress Sindi Dlathu has exited Queendom to join e.tv’s telenovela, Isiphetho: Destiny.

Entertainment commentator Jabu McDonald reveals that talented actress Sindi Dlathu will play the role of Zanemvula in Isiphetho: Destiny.

The show introduced the legendary actress on social media as Zanevumla, a woman of God with an axe to grind against the Zondo sisters, Connie and Blondie.

Dlathu recently exited BET’s Queendom as Tholakele Mthombeni in the Clive Morris production.

Her role Tholakele Mthombeni was also Linda Mtoba’s on-screen mother who’s been keeping her identity a secret from her for 30 years.

Dlathu is the third star to leave Queendom after Themba Ndaba, who’s also joined Isiphetho and Mduduzi Mabaso who joined House of Zwide as Msizi.

BACKGROUND OF ‘ISIPHETHO: DESTINY’
Black Brain Pictures’ Mandla N reveals to Zimoja that Isiphetho: Destiny is set in the heart of Soweto, amidst the vibrant community of Mzimhlope.

He adds that the story follows the intertwined lives of four friends who were bound by a life-changing secret during their teenage years.

“Now in their 30s, they find themselves drawn back to Mzimhlope, determined to chase their true destinies,” he added.

The foursome embark on an exciting new venture: an innovative restaurant aimed at bringing unique culinary delights to the township.

But at every turn on their journey to self-determination, their past and enemies threaten to thwart their dreams.
