THULI MADONSELA SUPPORTS MISS SA
The advocate, Professor Thuli Madonsela shared some acts on social media to prove that Chidimma Adetshina is within her rights to participate for the Miss SA pageant.

Madonsela is asking South Africans to support the beauty queen an says she [Adetshina] is a South African by birth, according to s(2)(1) of the Citizens Act.

“Dear #FellowSouthAfricans, please note that based on applying s(2)(1) of the Citizenship Act of 1995 on information in the public domain. Ms Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina is a South African by birth, lawfully participating in the Ms South Africa Competition.”

“Should she win, she is entitled to represent us as #MissSA2024 #MissSA. As indicated yesterday, your parents need not have been South African for you to be a citizen by birth. Please, let’s stop the noise and support #Chidimma and all #MissSA contestants,” says Madonsela.

Adetshina has been trending on social media because of her Nigerian roots.

LERATO KGANYAGO TROLLED FOR DEFENDING CHIDIMMA ADETSHINA
Crown Chaser judge Lerato Kganyago received criticism on social media on Wednesday, 31 July for supporting Miss SA finalist Chidimma Adetshina.

Kganyago revealed in an Instagram LIVE with Somizi that South Africans find it easier to attack black women because they are weaker.

“I wouldn’t be part of an organisation that is dishonest. There was proper vetting that was done, proper research and proper documentation were received to proof she is South African.”

“My opinion is based on facts. I respect everyone’s frustration. It’s easier to attack a black woman. There was a Miss South Africa a while ago, one was Portuguese.”

“The only person I feel sorry for is this young lady. I hope she gets therapy. Let’s base our points on facts. Social media is so dangerous, “ says Kganyago.

The media personality deactivated her X account on Wednesday and reactivated it on Thursday morning, 1 August.
