Stormers coach John Dobson has been mocked for the pronunciation of flyhalf and new Springbok Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu.
The outspoken rugby boss shared his comments in an episode of Off The Ball Rugby Podcast.
STORMERS BOSS BUTCHERS SACHA FEINBERG-MNGOMEZULU’S NAME?
Speaking to John Dobson, presenter Ger Gilroy asked Stormers coach John Dobson to help him pronounce Sacha’s surname, Feinberg-Mngomezulu.
Dobson – who signed Sacha to the club in 2022 – said: “Forget about the M and N at the start. Just go gomma-Zulu”.
However, many listeners felt that Dobson blunded the Springboks star’s name.
Author Khaya Dlanga responded: “That’s not how you pronounce it. You do say the M & N”.
@buddhasir added: “Forget about the M and N, what? Hulk needs to learn the name himself.”
Elsewhere in the interview, John Dobson made other interesting comments about Sacha’s parents.
He said: “When Sacha got famous, his dad reminded him of his name, Feinberg.
He added: “Sacha’s mom is a lawyer and is now a cannabis farmer.”

‘PROUD MOMENT FOR ME’
Meanwhile, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu’s father, Nick Feinberg, has spoken of his immense pride at his son’s call-up to the Springboks.
He told Sowetan: “I cried like a baby, and someone next to me asked if I was alright. All the years of blood, sweat, and tears Sacha has been through to get to where he is, and my family problems in old SA and my dad dying, kind of crystallised into that moment as Sacha was on that pitch”.
He added: “That was a huge, super proud moment for me. In fact, so much so that it was the greatest moment of my life, apart from the birth of my kids. That’s how much it meant to me.”
In an interview with Jacaranda FM, Nick – a Heart FM DJ – revealed that Sacha is now more famous than he is.

He said: “I’ve been on the radio probably over 25 years, and I had a small public profile from that. But now I’m completely redundant, and I’m just known as Sacha’s dad.
“There’s no more Nick. In fact, in the office, I’m called SD for short. In the old days, when I used to be out with the kids and maybe in a restaurant or something, and occasionally someone would come up and want a photo or something with me. Now, it’s absolutely reversed.
“I go out with Sacha; you can hardly sit and have a meal. Everyone’s all over him. It’s been a wild one.”
IS SACHA FEINBERG-MNGOMEZULU THE SPRINGBOKS NEXT BIG THING?
