Sonia Mbele blueticks son Donell’s alleged GBV allegations

Actress Sonia Mbele has reportedly ignored another disturbing gender-based violence (GBV) allegation against her son Donell Mbele.

The aspiring actor has been accused of allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Tamia Carvalho, last month. This comes a year after his ex, Reokeditswe Makete, made similar allegations.

Donell is the son of Sonia and her ex-husband, Leslie Sidibe, who has also been accused of domestic abuse.

SONIA MBELE’S SON DONELL ACCUSED OF SEXUAL ASSAULT
Last week, Sonia Mbele’s son Donell made headlines over allegations of sexual assault against his girlfriend, Tamia Carvalho.

The reports went viral on social media after Tamia, who lives in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), posted a thread about what allegedly occurred on her Instagram account.

In it, Tamia accused Donell – whose name she later removed – of “raping” her on 14 and 15 December. Tamia claims that she and Donell had recently gone public with their six-month relationship, but the alleged incident took place days later.

She shared: “I asked him to stop, and he didnt. I repeated myself multiple times and even started crying. …I remember another incident where he just got on top of me, pinned me down, and forced himself on me.”

After the alleged incident, the woman claims she returned to her home country to undergo a medical examination at her local clinic.

Tamia also attached an alleged screenshot of a text exchange between herself and Donell. In it, he allegedly responds to her claims with the words: “You think I’m proud of what I did?”

DONELL’S PREVIOUS GBV ALLEGATIONS
In late 2022, Donell Mbele made headlines when his then-girlfriend, Reokeditswe Makete, accused him of wanting to “kill” and “rape” her after being allegedly assaulted by him.

The young woman shared pics of her injuries as well as screenshots of messages allegedly sent by him.

Donell’s mother, Sonia Mbele, responded to the allegations with a statement condemning her son’s actions.

A part of it read: “Donell will face his demons and take accountability for his actions and let the law take its course. Rehab, therapy, and internal healing will prevail.”
