Fan-favourite actress Charmaine Mtinta has returned to her role as Nomeva this week in Smoke and Mirrors.
INSIDE NOMEVA’S RETURN
Viewers of the e.tv show, Smoke and Mirrors were recently surprised when their favourite character, Nomeva returned as a zombie.
Nomeva was turned into a zombie by Caesar’s (Hlomla Dandala) sangoma, Ngcuka (played by Albert “Ibokwe” Khoza).
Mtinta’s character found out that Caesar and Jaxon are killing the women in the community as a sacrifice.
When she went to confront the duo, their sangoma turned her into a zombie and she ran away.
CHARMAINE MTINTA TAKES A BREAK FROM ‘SMOKE AND MIRRORS’
The actress Charmaine Mtinta took a break from the show when her character Nomeva ran away from Ngcuka.
Her return comes after entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela revealing that legendary actor Hlomla Dandala is leaving the show as Caesar.
E.tv welcomed the actor for the recast role of Caesar Ngonyama in season two of the hit telenovela.
He made an appearance from the 16 April at 9pm at Caesar and Thandiswa’s wedding day.
Dandala previously revealed to IOL that the role was an exciting challenge for him as the character of Caesar is loved by viewers. His aim was to please and ensure that he delivers as a performer.
“Playing a villainous character such as Caesar will surely bring the best out of me. But more than anything I’m excited to be back with the eFamily and I look forward to a real joyride as we enter the second season of the show.”
Dandala’s character, Caesar married Thandisa (played by talented actress Ayanda Bandla) at the end of season one.
