The renowned actress has parted ways with the production after they allegedly refused to change the name of one of the characters as per her request.
Things started going south when she complained to producers of the show to change the name of one of the characters because her priest has the same name as the character.
The production team thought she was joking and they did not take her request seriously then she chose the easiest way out, to walk out of the series Former Generations actress Slindile Nodangala has bid farewell to Sibongile and The Dlaminis,

 

 

 
SLINDILE NODANGALA: EXIT
Mzansi Wethu confirms the departure of Sibongile and The Dlaminis actress Slindile Nodangala who plays Deliwe Mbambo.

“Mzansi Wethu bids farewell to Slindile Nodangala, who played the role of Deliwe Mbambo, on season 1 of Sibongile & The Dlaminis. With the story evolving and new characters joining the cast, Deliwe’s journey has come to an end. Nodangala’s portrayal of Deliwe was both captivating and divisive, making her a standout character.”

“Her talent has shone brightly on this show and others across Mzansi. Despite her departure, there’s plenty to look forward to in the new season, including new secrets, Sibongile’s next chapter, and the future of Vuma’s love life without Deliwe,” says the channel.

Shirley Adonisi, who is the director of local entertainment at Mzansi Magic also confirms Nodangala’s departure to ZiMoja.@MarciaTeee: “I doubt there’ll be season 3. DumaKaNdlovu should get strong writers next time because what is this? Hayi!”

@ZunguThandanan3: “No, she’s such a good villain love her acting.”The Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) reports that Sibongile and The Dlaminis is the most-watched TV show on DStv. The telenovela recorded 1.3 million viewers in June.

Nomsa Philiso, who is the CEO of general entertainment at MultiChoice, congratulated the cast and confirmed season two of the telenovela, reveals The Citizen

“This is a cause for celebration and a clear indication of the love and appreciation that our viewers have for Sibongile and The Dlaminis.”

Philiso adds that the telenovela is the combination of good scripting, casting, and overall production, which makes it a pleasure to watch.

She also thanks their middle and mass scripted team for the show. She also hopes they will see more growth in viewership numbers in season two.

The second season of the telenovela premiered on Monday, 29 July with Nsikelelo Mthiyane as the new Sibongile Mbambo.
