Skeem Saam actor Patrick Seleka, best known for his role as Katlego Peterson in the popular educational drama, has reportedly found love again.
The 32-year-old confirmed this in an interview with Daily Sun.
“The past year has been perfect for me. It has been great, I must say. Life has moved on, and I’m happy now (he said while pointing to his new partner, Tshepang). The other thing is that my cooking show has also been nominated for a South African Television & Film Award (Safta),” he told the newspaper.
In 2021, Patrick Seleka took to Instagram to admit his role in contributing to his wife’s depression.
“The main reason my wife is going through depression, in fact, all of it, is because of me. I am the reason she has been so depressed for so long, and the worst part is that I wasn’t there for her,” Seleka confessed in a now-deleted Instagram Live video.
The actor openly discussed the abuse he inflicted on his wife during their marriage.
“Her depression stems from everything I’ve done in our marriage. It started right from the beginning when I wasn’t a good person,” Seleka admitted.
He further revealed that his behaviour led to his wife losing her job, and she is currently on anti-depressants because of him.
“I wasn’t the right person. I was bad—very bad—so much so that when we started out, she ended up losing her job,” he said.
