Innocent Sadiki’s character, Sthoko surprised Skeem Saam viewers this past week when she slapped her boyfriend, Sergeant Babeile.
STHOKO ABUSES BABEILE
Baibeile (Mathews Manamela) proposed marriage to Sthoko this season after she moved in with him.
Things went south when the ring he bought her appeared to be fake and Sthoko’s finger turned red, as an allergic reaction.
This caused a huge fight between them as she slapped him across the face after calling her names. Her reaction surprised viewers who now believe she’s not over the abuse she endured in her previous relationship.
Viewers of the show believe that Sthoko is not ready for a relationship and still needs counselling.
Sthoko’s mother doesn’t approve of Babeile and believes she deserves a man who makes more money than her.
Her mother Mantuli (Dieketseng Mnisi) also disapproved of Babeile when he bought her a contaminated facial cream from the streets which ruined her face.
Sadiki tells Sunday World that her popular character hasn’t had an easy journey on the educational soapie.
“She went from being unemployed to being a teacher, which was a huge milestone for her. One of her goals was to eventually find love from someone who is equally minded as her and is as passionate as she is.”
“Enos Babeile is a good guy. And Sthoko is very excited and keen about this chapter in her life,” she says.
‘SKEEM SAAM’: SPOILERS
The TVSA Skeem Saam May teasers reveal that Sthoko will run into Alfred’s (Putla Sehlapelo) arms after her fight with Babeile.
Thursday, 16 May: “Sthoko runs to Alfred Magongwa for refuge after her fight with Babeile.
Friday, 17 May: “Babeile’s reaction to Sthoko turning to Alfred scares not only Alfred, but Babeile himself.
Viewers of the educational soapie believe that Sthoko and Babeile’s relationship should end as it’s become toxic.
The teasers also reveal that Sthoko will embarrass Babeile further when she tries to stand up for him.
