Early Life
Six Nyamane was born Mpume Nyamane on 6 April 1998. She hails from Newcastle, a large city in KwaZulu-Natal. She discovered acting in her first year at the university.

At first, her mother did not buy the idea of her pursuing an acting career over academics.

The actress continued to sharpen her skills and landed acting gigs. Her mother saw how passionate she was and gradually gave in.

She got her nickname playing provincial hockey and played position six.

Since coaches called them by their numbers on and off the pitch, somehow they kept the name.

Education

Six Nyamane studied at the University of South Africa (UNISA).

She began to play hockey in grade 4 but stopped playing after relocating to Johannesburg when she finished matric.

She studied finance for some months but grew uninterested in the course.

Career

Nyamane started missing classes to attend auditions after a guy she met at the gym told her she had a face for television. She attended her first audition and landed the role.

The actress appeared in the soap opera Generations: The Legacy, playing Nozipho. Her character is a fearless journalist and the daughter of Nkosiyabo Cele.

She was a nominee for the African Rated Actress of the Year award at the 6th edition of the African Fashion Designer Award.

Six appeared alongside Bathabile Dlodlo, Mosa Kaiser, and Sindile Ramabele in the original reality show, Single in Soweto.

The show chronicles the dating world during the Covid-19 pandemic. She played Phumeza in the film The Gang.

The actress played Buhle in Scandal, Amogelang in Rhythm City, and Shakira in Ndabazabantu. She also portrayed Zelda in Take Me Home and Tsholo in Thandolwam.

She has theatre appearances – Nomvula in Burnt Vhuwani and Madombolo in The Game.

Six Nyamane starred in the local romcom Blessers opposite Kenneth Nkosi, Sonia Mbele, and Connie Chiume.
