Fans of Umlilo vocalist Rethabile Khumalo will be pleased to know that she has been discharged from the hospital.
Last week, Rethabile’s mother, Winnie Khumalo, who is also a singer, pleaded with fans for prayers for her daughter whom she said was fighting for her life in hospital.
FRIEND ALLEGEDLY POISONS SINGER RETHABILE KHUMALO
According to the veteran musician, the Ntyilo Ntyilo hitmaker was poisoned by a friend.
She further revealed that in the six days that Rethabile had been in hospital, she had undergone three surgeries and would be having another operation.
“So I thought i will keep quite until my daughter is ok…She is fighting for her life…She has been poisoned by a so called friend [sic].
“It has been six days now in hospital… So I decided its only fair to share with her supporters these sad news [sic] …They did 3 operations on her already we hoping that @rethabile_rsa will soon recover but at the moment akukho kuhle [it doesn’t look good].
“She has been On and off… When you pray please include her in your prayers… Ubunzima bokuba umzali [the hardships of being a parent],” Winnie wrote.
In another post on her Instagram stories, Winnie also urged Rethabile to keep fighting for the sake of her young son.
“Fight, your son needs you. We all do,” she pleaded.
Speaking to popular celebrity gossip account Maphepha Ndaba last week, Winnie said that a case will be opened with the police regarding the poisoning incident.
SINGER IS BACK HOME
In an Instagram post in Wednesday, Winnie revealed that her daughter was back home. This post featured a picture of a glowing Rethabile who had just had her hair done.
Captioning the post, the Live My Life hitmaker said: “Thank you for your prayers,love and support Rethabile is back home.”
The 27-year-old singer gave birth to her first child, Culo, in December last year.
