Former Gomora actor Senzo Radebe has joined season two of Sibongile & The Dlaminis.
SENZO RADEBE: NEW ROLE
Entertainment commentator Jabu Macdonald reveals that actor Senzo Radebe has secure a role in the Mzansi Wethu telenovela.
Radebe joins the show after the departure of actor and musician Lungelo Tyson Mathonsi who portrayed the role of Jabu.
Radebe currently portrays the role of Bra Solly’s son, Solomzi Gumede in e.tv’s Isitha: The Enemy.
‘SIBONGILE & THE DLAMINIS’: NEW CHARACTERS IN SEASON TWO
Newcomer Nsikelelo Mthiyane took over the role of Sibongile Mbambo after the departure of Luyanda Zwane in season two of Sibongle & The Dlaminis.
Seasoned actors Baby Cele, Muzi Mthabela and Thembi Mtshali-Jones have also secured roles on the show.
Cele’s character is Bab’Ntombela’s sister, Samke who returns to the village after a failed singing career in the city.
The former Uzalo actress tells Sunday World: “Samke is a village woman who had a music career but was done dirty by her two friends. And now she is back to claim what is hers.”
While Mthabela’s character is a widow who is ready to move on after his wife’s death. He may begin a relationship with Nomfundo (Xoli Zondi).
Nomfundo is the head of the domestic workers at the Dlamini household, who’s been stuck in a love limbo with her married baby daddy, Njengaye (Siyabonga Shibe).
Shirley Adonisi, director for local entertainment channels says: “Sibongile & The Dlaminis has been a gift that keeps on giving for our audiences, with season 1 surpassing one million viewership numbers and we can proudly say that it has been a resounding success.”
BRCSA confirms that the show is currently the most-watched TV show on DStv with over 1.5 million viewers.
