Popular South African reality television star Michelle Dimpho Mvundla, popularly known as Mphowabadimo, took to social media to announce her mum’s death.
The Big Brother Mzansi Season 3 winner said her mum died on Tuesday, 6 August, and was laid to rest on Friday, 16 August.
“With Heavy hearts and deepest sorrows on behalf of the Mvundla family, we’re saddened to announce the passing of Our Mother Elizabeth Nonjebo Mvundla.

“Our mum left this life to go join our ancestors on 6 August 2024 after a period of illness,” the statement by the family read.
They explained how they felt.
“Our mum was everything to us, and we can never forget who and what she was in our lives, a matriarch. Although right now our hearts are heavy with pain indescribable, we’re hopeful the sun will rise again, and we’ll learn to live with the pain of losing our mum.”
They said they were grateful for the support received.
“As a family, we would like to thank everyone who has supported us during this difficult time. Your kind expressions of sympathy are appreciated and we would like to further extend our gratitude to M&M Funeral Home for giving our queen a dignified send-off and also taking care of us during this time.”
Mpho Wa Badimo said losing a mum is a pain that can’t be described in words.

“It’s virtually impossible to move on from the memory of losing the woman who sacrificed happiness in her own life so that you could have a better one. A mum’s love is truly irreplaceable. Losing her is like losing a part of myself,” she said.
They said Elizabeth was survived by her son, daughter, and four grandsons.
“We find comfort in knowing that we’ve gained idlozi elihle,” the family said.
