Rachel Kolisi will be entitled to half of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi’s fortune, granted the couple married in community of property.
The couple – who announced their split this week – wed in 2016 and have two children together. They’ve also co-founded the Kolisi Foundation.
RACHEL TO GET HALF SIYA KOLISI’S SPORTS FORTUNE?
According to Football Navigator, Siya Kolisi has a net worth of R35 million. If he is married to Rachel in a community of property, she may be entitled to half of his assets and liabilities, as well as decisions on child custody matters.
However, if the couple is married out of community, without accrual, then all the assets acquired before and during marriage remain their own.
Property IOL claims that if the Kolisi’s are married out of community, with accrual, either can claim half of the difference between their estate and their spouse’s higher-valued estate.
The Kolisi’s assets could include their properties, vehicles, investments, and even cash.

SPRINGBOK CAPTAIN’S MULTIPLE INCOME STREAMS
As the first black Springbok captain, Siya Kolisi has far-reaching influence, making him the perfect brand ambassador. In fact, Time Magazine named Siya as one of the 100 Most Influential People of 2024.
After signing with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports, the 33-year-old has landed major endorsement deals with brands like Red Bull, MTN, FNB, Engen, KFC, Lenovo, and Mercedes Benz, amongst many others.
He’s also co-founded the underwear brand Franklees, and has his own collections with apparel companies Freedom of Movement and Adidas.

Last year, Siya became a global brand advocate for South African Tourism (SAT).
Acting CEO Nomasonto Nlovu said: “Siya Kolisi is the perfect person to partner with South African Tourism in our marketing and promotional efforts. We seek to attract more travelers to come to visit our country.
“He is an exceptional South African whose story and journey inspire people from various parts of the globe. He is a true South African icon.”
And if Siya’s tourism gig is anything like Trevor Noah’s R33 million paycheck, it would also mean lucrative earnings.
