After 27 years of seeing it on screens daily, fans and lovers of SABC2’s most troubled telenovela, Muvhango, might have to prepare themselves for heartbreak.

The future does not look so bright for the show produced by Duma Ndlovu, as the current season of Muvhango ends on Tuesday and there are no new episodes to air.
Although SABC has not issued a statement, Muvhango took to social media to announce that it is the end of the road.
“End of the Road for Muvhango, Thank you for watching all these years.”
We understand that the soapie finished shooting on June 15th.
Normally by this time new contracts for another season would have been signed already, but they are not.
With that, production had to close because the future of the show is in limbo.
Ratings wise, Muvhango is the number 1 show on SABC2.
