Muvhango fans are angry with the old episodes of the drama.

Fans or the viewers of Muvhango have taken social media by a storm when they went on to talk about their frustration over the old episodes that are being broadcasted by SABC. Majority of them expressed their views after it has been announced that on 2 July 2024,the modern Muvhango won’t be airing on SABC 2 due to less number of viewers.Infact,they will bring back the old Muvhango.

Muvhango’s cancellation was allegedly motivated by dwindling viewership. Even with a devoted following, the program had trouble drawing enough viewers to cover its broadcast expenses and airtime.

Since its 1996 debut, SABC 2 has featured Muvhango, a series renowned for its compelling narratives and endearing characters. The program had grown to be a mainstay in many South African homes over the years, with viewers growing up with itAlthough Muvhango’s finale is a sad day for its viewers, the show’s legacy will endure in the hearts of those who cherished it. The performers and crew should be pleased with their effort and the effect the show has made on South Africa.


 

The fundamental idea of the program is “umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu,” which means that we are a part of our surroundings. Strong family-oriented narratives throughout the program aim to address the tension between conventional wisdom and contemporary values. While those in Johannesburg concentrate on modern methods, the Vhakwevho family looks after the traditional side of things.

The show received a nomination for best soap opera at the 2006 South African Film and Television Awards.

This development unfolded during the trial at the North Gauteng High Court on Wednesday, 24 January, where the lead investigating officer, Brigadier Bongani Gininda, made startling revelations, suggesting that Senzo’s then-girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, allegedly orchestrated the hit.Senzo Meyiwa’s tragic death, initially attributed to a botched robbery in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, in 2014, has remained a lingering question for his family, who have tirelessly sought answers.


 

 

 

 

 
Ntombifuthi Meyiwa, Senzo’s mother, conveyed the family’s reliance on the court proceedings to substantiate the truth behind the murder.

She underscored the pivotal role of the court in establishing facts and providing the closure the family has been fervently pursuing.

“Learning that Kelly Khumalo was implicated is significant, but its impact is limited if not proven in court,” said Ntombifuthi Meyiwa.

Despite the prolonged duration of the case, she remains hopeful that justice will ultimately prevail, bringing an end to the protracted investigation.

“While it has taken a considerable amount of time, we still maintain hope that justice will prevail, bringing closure.

We have discussed this case extensively, and now, our singular desire is justice and closure,” she asserted, reflecting the family’s unwavering commitment to seeking the truth.

The absence of closure has been a prolonged struggle for Senzo Meyiwa’s family, with his father, Samuel Meyiwa, actively advocating for justice until his passing in 2019.

Ntombifuthi Meyiwa expressed the family’s collective hope for justice for Senzo, highlighting the critical need for closure.

“We fervently anticipate that the court will conclusively determine who was behind Senzo Meyiwa’s murder.

After discussing this case for an extended period, our singular aspiration is now justice and closure,” she reiterated, emphasizing the family’s deep desire for a resolution while she is still alive.

As the court proceedings unfold, the Meyiwa family remains steadfast in their pursuit of justice, eagerly anticipating the resolution of a case that has haunted them for far too long.
