Anele Tembe’s sister Palesa Tembe sadly took to X (the social media platform previously known as Twitter) on 11 April to mark the third year since her sibling passed away.
‘I LOVE YOU ALWAYS’: ANELE TEMBE MOURNED BY HER SISTER
In 2021, at just 22 years old, Anele Tembe allegedly fell to her death from the 10th floor of the five-star Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town. During the time of her death, she was engaged to rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes. Last year, the beloved rapper was shot and killed outside Wish restaurant in Durban. His murder case is still underway.
Anele Tembe’s sister Palesa Tembe paid tribute to her and shared that her life was flipped upside down when her sibling passed on.
“My life changed when yours ended, here on earth, 3 years ago on this day. I love you always maTembe 🕊️ 11/04/2021,” Palesa wrote on her feed.
Author Melinda Ferguson has confirmed that her book titled When Love Kills: The tragic tale of AKA and Anele will be coming out this week, IOL reported. “It’s a story that broke my heart,” she was quoted as saying.
“I have never worked harder on a book. I have never been more freaked out by a story. I have never kept a secret like I have this one, but the news has just been leaked on social media” Ferguson reportedly added.
Anele’s father Moses Tembe is said to have allegedly given his blessing for the book to be released and is glad that she will be remembered.
GRAVE CONCERN’: MOSES ON AKA’S DEATH
According to TshisaLIVE, Moses Tembe, the father of the late Anele Tembe, previously issued a statement imploring netizens to stop pointing the finger at him or his family for AKA’s assassination.
“It is with grave concern that my family and I have had to endure a flurry of posts on various social media platforms that accuse me, and members of my family, of being involved in the death of Kiernan Forbes. These accusations are untrue and without substance,” SowetanLIVE quoted Moses as saying.
According to the publication, Moses said he understands the pain the Forbes family is and has experienced and “ would never be involved in an abhorrent act of this nature.”
“While I value the principle of freedom of speech, these cruel and libellous utterances inflict personal and emotional harm on us. After having to deal with the tragedy of the untimely passing of our daughter, this senseless crime has taken a further emotional toll on us,” Anele’s father reportedly added.
A video clip allegedly showing Anele threatening to commit suicide at the slain rapper’s place is said to be among the crucial evidence to be tested at the Cape Town magistrate’s court, during the inquest hearing into her death, Sunday World recently revealed.
