Celebrated music executive Nota Baloyi and his ex-wife Berita have finalised their divorce. The news of their divorce comes barely a year after it was reported that the two were heading for a splitsville.

 

DRAMATIC FALLOUT
The news of their fallout first made rounds in March 2023. Against the rumour mill, Berita confirmed the news to the media. She made it known that their marriage was over, and a divorce was on the cards since they were legally married.

Whilst setting the record straight, she made it known that she hadn’t talked to Nota and didn’t intend to. Last year, Berita told ZiMoja, “I know nothing about what is happening in his life. We do not talk and have not spoken for a long time. I will not be seeing him any time soon.”

Speaking to the media about their fallout in 2023, Berita said, “We were officially married. I believed he was the one for me. But it turned out I was wrong, and we are currently in the process of getting a divorce.”

The Zimbabwean-born afro-pop sensation Berita seemingly revealed some reasons behind their fallout. According to ZiMoja, Berita said that Nota does what he wants, and she couldn’t hang in there anymore.

However, also Berita revealed that she had left her marital home in January 2022. She made it known that Nota’s alleged mental health issues had taken a toll on their union. Against the news, Nota took a swipe at Berita and accused her of using him.

However barely a year after confirming their fallout, Musa Khawula has revealed that the two have finalised their divorce.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the controversial blogger posted, “Berita and Nota Baloyi officially part ways. Berita is finally free from the shackles of her now ex-husband Nota Baloyi as they finalised their divorce today.”

The post has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped on the internet. Mzansi was quick to flood social media with their two cents. However, Nota also confirmed the news with a cryptic post while taking a swipe at Berita.

Taking to X, Nota posted, “The lesson is to make sure she leaves with nothing of yours & loses half of everything she gained… Another lesson is marry in your class. Bringing someone up out of poverty is like going to bed with a snake that is starving itself to build up the appetite to swallow you whole.”
