“My Birthday was well spent,” he said, thanking his wife and two children for making it special. He added, “I also wanna take this opportunity to Thank Each and Everyone of you for the Well Wishes.”Although no official announcement from Kaizer Chiefs has been made, Khune is expected to move to Kaizer Chiefs technical team after his contract as a player ended at the end of this season.

Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr. hopes Khune will pass on his experience to the younger players.

“It is remarkable that Itu, at the age of 36, has been with Chiefs for over 20 years. It speaks to his love for the game, dedication, hard work, and commitment because very few achieve this feat. We hope that he gives it his all in this final season and shares his valuable experience with the younger players in the team,” said Motaung Jr.
