Well-known South African actress Nefisa Mkhabela sometimes pinches herself in awe of what she does.
She said, at times, she suffers from imposter syndrome and feels she’s not good enough.
Nefisa is popularly known for her role as Onalerona Molapo on e.tv’s fashion drama House of Zwide.
The 23-year-old said everyone has insecurities.
“For me, my biggest thing I still try to get over is asking myself if I’m good enough at what I do,” said Nefisa.
However, her fans and supporters have reassured her.
“Seeing all the love, even from the recent project Losing Lerato 2. Winning a Royalty Soapie Award was on another level because I then get shocked and say, really, I can act,” she joked.
Nefisa said everyone must go for what they want to do.
“The sky is the limit, and nothing can stand in your way. If God says this is your future and your destiny, who’s the person next door to say anything?”

Nefisa played Lerato on the Netflix’s movie Losing Lerato and said she had fun shooting it.
“That was completely removed from me as Nefisa, so there were a lot of challenges that were so much fun to dibble into as an actress. The chemistry on set was amazing, and the people were friendly,” she said.
Nefisa said she started acting because many of her family members were already in the industry.
“I was also an expressive child who was bubbly, and it only made sense to be in the industry.”
