Gagasi FM host Felix Hlophe’s wife to welcome second wife

Tracy Smith-Hlophe, who is the wife of Gagasi FM presenter Felix Hlophe, has revealed that she has accepted the shock jock’s request to take a second wife.

According to ZiMoja, Smith-Hlophe said the thought of being in a polygamous marriage was difficult to accept at first.

FELIX HLOPHE’S WIFE ON THEIR POLYGAMOUS MARRIAGE
Hlophe, who is also a comedian, married his wife in 2018. According to her Instagram account, the pair have two children named Nala and Amile Hlophe.

After six years of marriage, the radio host is set to take a woman from Durban named, Ayanda, as his second wife. At first, the couple denied the reports, but have since revealed that they are true.

“Yesterday we made a live distancing ourselves from these sick allegations. However, the matter involving Ayanda still remains private. Firstly, we would like some privacy and respect for the way we have chosen to structure our family.

“I have known Ayanda for a long time. At first when I met her, I was upset but as I got to know her through many dates and travels, I got to accept her. This is all new for us and we will give information once the time is right,” she said.

A source revealed to the publication that Hlophe informed his elders of his decision.

“Felix took the route of informing his elders that he was taking Ayanda as his second wife (Mamncane). Tracy as the elder wife (Mamkhulu) had no choice but to agree. Make no mistake, Felix loves his wife very much, but he’s loves Ayanda too. It’s a win-win situation for everyone,” the source was quoted as saying.

WEDDING BELLS SOON?
Last week, Hlophe confirmed to TshisaLIVE that he will be taking a second wife.

“Yes, my wife has finally accepted uAyanda to be my second wife. I can’t say much but soon there will be wedding celebrations,” he said.

Sources told the outlet that the Gagasi FM breakfast host is set to walk down the aisle in September.

“Felix is looking forward to tie the knot with uMamncane (Ayanda) in September, but everything will be done according to Ndlunkulu (Tracy), Hlophe has received blessings from his elders,” a source said.

However, Hlophe denied those reports in an interview with ZiMoja.

“At the moment we only ask to be left in peace. And there is no wedding. The only wedding we are having in September is our traditional wedding. Thank you.”
