The actress has it that she was a cleaner struggling to make ends meet when she had her shot at fame. Rumour mill has it that she was a hospital janitor when she scored her gig on Uzalo.

Reports have it that Ntombifuthi’ Mam Madlala’ Dlamini was a janitor at a local hospital in Durban. However, in 2014 she had her shot to fame when she auditioned to be an extra on Uzalo.

Despite extras being the least paid, she did her best, and the rest was history. In season 7, she was reportedly offered a main role by Stained Glass Productions because of her unmatched acting flair.

Today she is one of the most celebrated actresses who once made ends meet as a hospital janitor.
