Former Bafana star Steven Pienaar reflects on being a father

Former Tottenham Hotspur player Steven Pienaar is enjoying his role as a father.

The ex-football star, who represented the country in the Bafana Bafana squad, recently shared wholesome images of his children, expressing his gratitude on their birthdays.

Wishing his 14-year-old daughter, Aaliyah, a happy birthday, Pienaar wrote on Instagram: “Where did the time go, all the beautiful memories we made together, you making have sleepless nights in the beginning and helping now on my computer haha. “

Pienaar further expressed his unwavering love for his daughter and wished her well.

“I love you so much my angel, hope you have many more blessings because you such a loving, caring child and big sister. Lots of love.”

The former Everton star’s children’s birthdays are one week apart, as the week before Aaliyah’s 14th birthday, he wished his youngest daughter, Kaori, a happy birthday.

In his Instagram post, Pienaar said a prayer to expressed to his God, thanking him for his bundle of joy.

“My Almighty God you blessed me with wonderful gift that I have to protect and through this journey of life.

“Give me wisdom to be a good father. I’m not perfect, but I’m doing my best to be a good father and friend to my angel. Happy birthday Kaori Lu’Lu wish you many more years,” said Pienaar.

On 6 January, he wished the love of his life a happy birthday.

“Another Year, we are definitely getting old together. Happy birthday my love and many more happy years together,” he wrote on Instagram.
