Popular South African reality television star Eulenda “Yolanda” Monyai was overwhelmed with gifts from her fans, including R200 000 and various home appliances, a bedroom suite, couch, four-door fridge, dishwasher, and more for her birthday celebration on Saturday, 3 August.
Yolanda will use the R200 000 to complete their house in Limpopo.
The 33-year-old, originally from Phalaborwa in Limpopo and now based in Joburg, told the publication she was astonished by her fans’ generosity.
“I never anticipated such overwhelming support,” Yolanda said.
She explained that her participation in Big Brother Mzansi was motivated by her ambition to win R2 million to build a house for her mum, Sarah.
“This cash has come me closer to realizing the dream I’ve always had,” she added.
