‘Dude, you don’t work for Twitter’: Anele criticises Gayton McKenzie

947 radio personality Anele Mdoda tells Minister Gayton McKenzie to limit his engagement on Twitter.

“Dude. Stop answering. You don’t work for twitter,” she writes.


 

ANELE MDODA CRITICISES GAYTON MCKENZIE
The media personality Anele Mdoda was replying to McKenzie’s post about his trip to the 2024 Olympics in France, which cost taxpayers over R800,000.

“I attended six meetings in Paris before the start of the Olympics. I went to the athletic villa to greet our athletes, I attended opening ceremony and watch the hockey, gymnastic & sevens game. I opened Ekhaya village & watched the rest of the Olympic Games on TV. What joyride?” writes McKenzie.

The Citizen reveals that the minister recently revealed in a parliamentary reply that his department incurred a total cost of R804,597.71 for his trip to Paris.

It is revealed that his flights cost R215 976.36, accommodation was R113 271 while transport was R454 005.

R592.63 was paid by the department for insurance. McKenzie’s subsistence and travel allowance was R20 745.72.

South Africans took to Anele’s post to call out the media personality for the way she addressed McKenzie.
