Miex martial artist Dricus du Plessis managed to defend, and retain his UFC Middleweight Champion title in a fourth-round submission win over Israel Adesanya at UFC 305 on Saturday 17 August. In South African time, this was in the early hours of Sunday morning (18 August).
Springboks skipper Siya Kolisi and lock Eben Etzebeth walked out with Dricus as he made his way to the ring.

Dricus has been dating Vasti Spiller for just over a year. The pair celebrated their first anniversary in July. She took to Instagram to mark the milestone.
“1 year of us♥️ with you I experience Jesus’ ‘new beginning’ and what it means to love like him. The beautiful, the ugly, the world and the sky are with you and I want to live next to you and experience it all. I love you my hungry heart,” she wrote.

The girlfriend of Dricus is multi-talented. Vasti is a photographer and a children’s book author. She has her own photography business called Baruch Photography.
