Late actor Mpho Sebeng‘s name has been removed from the KwaZulu Natal Tourism Film and Television Awards. Sebeng passed away in a car accident last month while on his way from Rustenburg in the North West to Johannesburg.

Renowned actress Florence Masebe will temporarily replace Harriet Manamela as Meikie Maputla in the SABC 1 drama Skeem Saam.

Masebe will replace Manamela until the end of the season.

According to a statement from the SABC, the decision came about after Harriet Manamela needed to be placed on sick leave for an extended period. Manamela’s last scene for the season will air on April 5, 2024.

From May 15th, 2024, the character of ‘Meikie Maputla’ will be played by Florence Masebe.Two new characters, Tsietsi and Pule, have come to the fold, leaving Pretty and Eunice impressed.

Tsietsi is played by Pholoso Mohlala, and Pule is played by Themba Manganyi.

Brendan Maphake plays the character of Amukelani. Amu is the new addition to the Turf High learners and causes a stir when he leaves the girls smitten and all the boys feeling intimidated. He soon becomes the bane of Paxton’s existence when a certain young lady is drawn to Amu like a moth to a flame.

Nkosi owns a well-established security company and is the perfect definition of a friend in need. The character of Nkosi is played by Nyaniso Dzedze.SOAPIE FANS RESPOND TO HER DEPARTURE
