Renowned South African actress Florence Masebe has officially announced her departure from the popular television show Skeem Saam.
Masebe, known for her exceptional talent and captivating performances, stepped in to fill the role of Meikie Maputla on SABC 1’s popular weekday show during season 12 while Harriet Manamela was away.
After a short stint on the show, she recently took to Instagram to say farewell to her fellow cast members and fans.
“It’s almost time to say goodbye to the bunch. Thank you for the beautiful ride. See you on the next. Ndi a livhuwa. Aa,” she wrote.Florence Masebe says she is grateful to have been on ‘Skeem Saam’.

In early February, the actress temporarily replaced Harriet Manamela as Meikie Maputla on the weekday series in season 12 due “unforeseen circumstances”.

Florence received applause from viewers for her delivery of the Meikie character, a feisty businesswoman who is very protective of her children and always ready to challenge anything that threatens the wellbeing of her family.

The actress took to her timeline before wrapping up her scenes to express her gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the show.

She admitted that there’d been a few times where she felt like leaving her husband after just being married for three years.

“I had an expectation that there was a certain understanding about who I am as a person and even as we get to know more of who we are because you’re married and live together.”

“You really get to know the person for who they are and I was like we’ll love each other through it.”

Stephanie’s husband – Hungani Ndlovu says he got his ideal marriage from his parents who never argued, which is different to Stephanie’s background.

The dancer and choreographer adds that it’s been more challenging for them to come together as a couple because they never had disagreements or arguments before.

“I come with my own traumas, situations, and insecurities, ego, pride and you have your own too.”

He says he’s learned to be selfless and put Stephanie first in almost everything he does.

The pair also revealed last week that YouTube selected their YouTube channel The Ndlovus Uncut as part of the #YouTubeBlackVoices Fund Creators Class Of 2022.

This means their channel is about to grow and become even better than it is!
