*A Heartwarming Revelation**
Renowned South African DJ and philanthropist Lamiez Holworthy recently shared an inspiring story that left her fans in awe. The talented artist revealed that she took on the responsibility of caring for 30 orphans in 2019 without financial support from corporations or external sponsors. Her only help comes from her mother, siblings, and husband, the well-known rapper Khuli Chana.
### **A Personal Mission of Love and Care**
Lamiez’s journey into philanthropy began with a deep desire to provide a loving home for children in need. Despite her fame, she never sought public recognition for her efforts. She explained that her decision to keep her orphanage private was to protect the dignity and privacy of the children she cares for.
Taking to her Instagram page, the star expressed her happiness at finally securing a space that she has been transforming into a “dream home” for the children. She shared, *”With a dream of always having my own orphanage, I adopted 30 orphans in 2019 and have taken care of them with zero funding and zero sponsors since. I’ve been blessed and lucky enough to finally find a space that we’ve slowly been transforming into a dream home for my kiddies, and I can’t tell you just how happy this makes me.”*
### **Why She Kept It Private**
Lamiez explained that she refrained from sharing details about her orphanage on social media because she wanted to protect the children’s dignity. She added that giving back has always been her way of communicating with God and her ancestors. However, she admitted that it has been challenging doing it alone, relying only on faith and support from her closest family members.
