According to the family, they initially needed R700,000 for a critical operation but were only able to raise R100,000.
This financial shortfall has left them burdened with debt, and they are appealing to the public for assistance. The family expressed their disappointment in falling short of their goal, despite their best efforts to raise the necessary funds through various means. Solly Moholo’s children explained that while the public generously donated R100,000, it has not been enough to cover the entirety of the medical expenses.
