Seasoned actress Phophi Mudau Ratlabala says she was shocked when her husband, Mohale Ratlabala, just collapsed and died.
PHOPHI MUDAU RATLABALA: ‘HE BECAME FRAIL’
The former Skeem Saam actress, Phophi Mudau Ratlabala tells Sunday World that her husband didn’t show any medical complications.
Ratlabala says he woke up on Saturday morning full of energy, suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed.
“We woke up in the late morning and my husband didn’t show any medical complications. He was as fit as a fiddle and jolly as usual. Suddenly, he became frail and within a short space of time, fell to the floor, and that was the end of his life journey.”
“I got the shock of my life because death was the last misfortune I expected. Everything was okay until death struck. It was an untimely death that has left everyone shattered, and the void he has left is going to be huge,” she says.
Mohale and Phophi were married for 18 years, tied the knot in 2015 and have a 10-year-old daughter, Moyahabo.
The family is yet to finalise funeral details of Mohale Ratlabala.
HER ROLE IN ‘SKEEM SAAM’
The seasoned actress Phophi Mudau Ratlabala is famously known for playing the character, Cindy Khuzwayo in SABC1’s soapie Skeem Saam.
Her Skeem Saam character was a publisher, businesswoman and co-owner of a high-end restaurant Cafe Rhovuwa on the much-loved SABC 1 youth soapie.
Mudau Ratlabala is also known for her role in SABC2’s Tshivenda soapie, Muvhango.
The actress also received an award for Best TV actress for her Skeem Saam role at the F.A.M.E. awards.
Youth Village reports that the awards aim to celebrate Film, Arts, Music and Entertainment in Limpopo.
