Livid Kelly Khumalo goes on rant about CemAir

CemAir has come under fire again after singer Kelly Khumalo accused the airline of being a “sh*tty service.”

The performer is one of multiple South African artists who have accused their company of being unprofessional.

KELLY KHUMALO DRAGS CEMAIR IN VIRAL VIDEO
In a video rant posted on social media, Kelly Khumalo appeared flustered as she explained that her CemAir flights had been cancelled without her knowledge.

Speaking from a helpdesk likely at an airport terminal, the singer said: “This is what we have to deal with…sh*t service from CemAir. We missed our flight when we were there. It’s not on screens; they don’t even bother to send smses [to warn us]

She added: “South Africa must never support this sh*tty airline.”

Unfortunately, many South Africans did not have much sympathy for Kelly, who is widely rumoured to be behind the death of soccer star Senzo Meyiwa.

@Miz_Ruraltarain: “Kelly We support Senzo”

@inexist_33: “Surely, when you book a flight, you know what time it’s leaving.”

@BokamosoMc: “Clearly, CemAir is on Senzo Meyiwa’s side, and we stand with them.”

MORE CELBRITY RUN-INS
Kelly Khumalo is not the first celebrity to publicly criticise CemAir.

In March, the airlines made headlines after their brush with reality TV star Shamiso Mosaka. In a viral video, Shamiso accused the airline of racial profiling and kicking her off a flight after she said the F-word.

CemAir clapped back at the star in a statement, labelling her “unruly and abusive.”

In the aftermath, Somizi clapped back at CemAir’s statement.

In an Instagram Story, the media personality defended Shamiso. He posted: “Piece of s**t airline. Even with evidence, you are still defending racism”.

Fellow TV personality Bridget Masinga tweeted: “What the hell did I just watch? CemAir, you should be ashamed of the discrimination and conduct of your crew assisted by SAPS inflicted on Shamiso. That young lady is owed a sincere public apology for the very public humiliation.”

Ntsiki Mazwai also had her say. She tweeted: “How did Shamiso keep her cool? What a violent experience…..the air hostess should catch charges”.

In 2022, CemAir came under fire for allegedly discriminating against disabled music artist DJ Kabila.

In a video, Kabila accused CemAir of being the first airline to charge him additionally for using a passenger-aid unit (PAU), a device that allows wheelchairs to board airplanes.

His video was retweeted by DJ Black Coffee, who himself has a disabled hand.

He tweeted of the incident: “This can’t be it.”
