BRYONI GOVENDER REPRESENTS SOUTH AFRICA
Miss SA 2023 runner up Bryoni Govender will be representing South Africa at the international pageant. In an interview with The South African, Bryoni revealed that she is most excited about the diverse cultures of the pageant as well as showcasing South Africa’s rich heritage.
“The chance to meet and connect with the other amazing women competing. Miss Supranational is a platform that brings together diverse cultures, talents and aspirations, which I find truly inspiring. Moreover, visiting Poland for the first time, experiencing the Polish culture, their traditional cuisine and the Polish people is also a big plus, which I am so excited about,” she said exclusively to The South African.
“Lastly, I am looking forward to showcasing the rich heritage, diversity, and beauty of South Africa on an international platform and promoting the cause close to my heart,” she continued.
She also added that she adored both Chanique and Lalela, who previously brought the title back home to South Africa.
“It is so difficult to choose just one favourite previous Miss Supranational winner, as each of them brought their unique charm and grace to the title. So, I would choose two and it would be Chanique Rabe from Namibia, who won in 2021 and Lalela Mswane from South Africa, who was the first South African woman to win the title in 2022. Being that they are both African, it is a source of immense pride and inspiration for the entire continent,” she said.
