Beyoncé is giving fans an intimate glimpse into her hair routine. The singer shared a behind-the-scenes video detailing the steps that keep her long, natural hair in tip-top shape. Of course, she’s seen using products from her new haircare brand, Cécred.
In the clip, Beyoncé is seen getting her hair washed, her natural texture on full display. Simultaneously getting her eyebrows tinted, the star’s locks are then blow dried (Bey jumps in to help with this part) and straightened before being put in curlers. The result is a voluminous half-up style with bouncy curls. Beyoncé finishes the look by applying an oil to her hair and getting her curls touched up.
“It has been such a special experience seeing all of your #cecredwashday rituals all over my timeline,” she captioned the Monday, April 22 post. “I just had to join in with something I had in the archivesBeing disruptive and challenging everything people feel should be the process has always been exciting to me,” she continued. “My hair and music seemed to do that a lot over the years…”

Beyoncé added that “maintaining 25 years of blonde on natural hair through all the experimenting I do” contributed to the development of her brand.
The Renaissance singer previously shared some of her beauty secrets in her Essence cover story in February 2024.
“It’s all about moisture for me — adding oil to my scalp and covering my hair at night so the oils could penetrate,” Mrs. Knowles-Carter, 42, told the outlet, adding, “It brings back such great memories of my rituals as a child to maintain a healthy scalp.” In the interview, she also opened up about self-expression through hair.
“[Black women] can wear our hair natural, straight, braids, weaves and wigs. There’s power in self-expression and in feeling free to show up as we choose, in whatever hair we choose,” she said. “For me, joy comes from making myself a priority and making my hair a priority. It is really important for me to make time for the sacred rituals of self-care.Beyoncé came under fire when her hair care brand was first announced in 2023.
Per Glamour, critics claimed the singer didn’t have enough expertise on natural hair because she often wears wigs. Others rebutted that Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, is a licensed cosmetologist who used to manage a hair salon and surely passed her hair care knowledge onto her daughter.
Fans seem to be coming to Beyoncé’s defense over the controversy in the comments of her hair care video on Instagram. To the haters in the back,” one user wrote. Hahah she got y’all now,” said another. “See all her hair.
