CHIDIMMA FINALLY COMES CLEAN AND ADMITS HER PARENTS ARE NIGERIAN
The former Miss South Africa contestant recently revealed on the Nigerian TV show Your View that her parents are Nigerian after previously denying it.
“I entered Miss South Africa, and when I made it to the top 16, it sparked a huge reaction. People were asking, ‘How is Chidimma a South African?’ South Africans were not happy,” she shared.
She went on to explain:
“They felt I wasn’t a good representative for South Africa and that I was taking a spot from a South African, which I thought was unfair because I am also South African.”
When the host inquired about how she identifies as Nigerian, she responded:
“I was born in South Africa.” The host pressed further, asking, “To Nigerian parents?” to which she affirmed, “Yes.”
