It was a night to remember as the Limpopo-born singer wowed many with her electrifying performance.
SA CELEBRITIES GIVE MAKHADZI HER FLOWERS
However, the show had some setbacks, including gate entrance logistics issues- which saw thousands of fans waiting outside the stadium for some time before being granted access to the stadium.
A string of celebrated stars also performed at the show in support of Makhadzi, who has since become one of the most booked singers in South Africa.
Some of the notable artists who performed at the show include Gigi Lamayne, DJ Tira, Zola 7, Malaika, Nkosazana Daughter, Lwah Ndlunkulu, and Sho Madjozi.
This was Makhadzi’s second One Woman Show and the first locally. Before her Peter Makaba Stadium show, she previously filled a stadium in Botswana, where she had her first one-woman show.
This time, Makhadzi had no aerial stunts for her big performance but made a grand entrance with all eyes on her at the stadium.
After her big win, many celebrities took her to social media to give her flowers.
“#MakhadziOneWomanShow a HUGE success. From selling fruits in the streets to filling up stadiums. Congrats well done @makhadzisa,” wrote DJ Tira.
Sho Madjozi praised Makhadzi’s efforts: “This is not a label, this is not built by executives somewhere, this is sheer ambition, sheer drive and power. An artist that is for and by the people.”
Gigi Lamayne thanked Makhadzi for trusting her to perform by her side: “Thank you for trusting me by your side. I love you, and I’m super proud of you, @MakhadziSA. History made! What a night!”
