She was born in Limpopo close to Lebowakgomo and moved to Johannesburg where she attended Piet van Vuuren Primary school in Brixton, excelling at athletics, cross country and netball.
She went to high school at St. Mary’s in Waverly where she took drama, history and geography up to matric.
