Former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali is making headlines after his recent photos made rounds on the internet. With an illustrious career spanning years, Andile Jali is considered one of the best players to ever come from South Africa.

 
The celebrated maestro has wowed many with his flair and command of the game for club and country.

ANDILE JALI’S RECENT PHOTOS TREND
His huge social media following often thrusts him into top trends whenever he posts. Andile Jali left social media abuzz when he shared his recent photos, which were seemingly taken at a farm in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.

The photos are making rounds a week after MDN News took to X to share a photo of the star holding a lamp and made it known that the former Sundowns player was venturing into farming. Barely a week after the post, Andile Jali shared more photos at his alleged farm while standing next to farming machines and livestock.

In one of the posts, he was standing next to a tractor. However, in the other photo, Andile Jali pans the camera as he shows off some of his sheep and free-roaming chickens.

The photos have gained thousands of comments and reactions since they dropped on the internet. Fans were convinced that Andile Jali had spread his wings into farming.

No doubt some fans were more than convinced that Andile Jali is already working on his life after football. He joins a host of celebrities who have spread their wings into farming.

Earlier this month, Amapiano sensation Kabza De Small hogged headlines when he showed off his Ankole herd. The celebrated producer and DJ is a proud farmer of one of the most expensive cattle breeds in the world.

Surprisingly, the most notable Ankole farmers in Africa are presidents. Some notable farmers are President Cyril Ramaphosa, Zimbabwean Head of State Emerson Mnangagwa, and Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.

However, despite the trends, Andile Jali has yet to confirm that he has ventured into farming. Mzansi was more than convinced that this could be his retirement plan.

CAREER
Andile Jali started his youth career with Hot Spurs from 2002 to 2005. He later joined Matatiele Professionals in 2006 before joining Pretoria University in 2007. He joined the Orlando Pirates in 2009 and left the Soweto giants in 2014. Against his newfound fame, he joined Belgian side K.V Oostende.

After a colourful stint in the Belgian Pro League, he joined Mamelodi Sundowns. Andile Jali joined Mamelodi Sundowns in 2018 and left in 2022. However, his transfer move to Moroka Swallows hogged headlines. He undoubtedly kept his transfer move under wraps, leaving many to guess.

He recently joined Chippa United after his dramatic exit from Moroka Swallows.

Maleka also shares that he’s a nerd who likes to stick to himself and he’s single but is hopeful it will happen.

“I’m a nerd who likes to stick to himself. However, I haven’t been blessed with the fortune of love… hopefully it will happen. Unfortunately, I haven’t met my Zandile [Ace’s love interest in the film] yet, but I have hopes that I will.”

“Being unlucky in love has nothing to do with my parents. In fact, they are part of the problem because I got to witness what I think love should be from them. Now it isn’t easy to find such a lovely story like theirs.

“I love how after so many years, my parents are still in love with each other.”BACKGROUND: ‘LOBOLA MAN’
The talented actor Lawrence Maleka portrays a smooth-talker and family wooer named Ace Ngubeni in Lobola Man.

His character Ace is also a successful lobola negotiator and bachelor who questions the existence of love.

He however finds his perspective challenged when he meets Zandile played by Kwanele Mthethwa.

In the film, Ace takes on a new client, Duke Maseko played by Sandile Mahlangu who enlists his help with the lobola negotiations.

What starts as a typical job for Ace quickly turns complicated and forces him to confront his own beliefs about love and relationships.

The film also stars Sandile Mahlangu as Duke Maseko while Nimrod Nkosi plays Kwanele Mthethwa’s on-screen father.

Other actors include Thembsie Matu, Obed Baloyi, Sello Ramolahloane, Themba Ndaba, Sthandile Nkosi and Primo Baloyi.

Lobola Man celebrates love and the cultural significance of lobola with a modern, humorous twist, sure to capture the hearts of audiences everywhere.

The actor and TV presenter is also famously known for his roles in The River and Isibaya.

“This is exciting. I’ve been a fan of Scandal! for many years and to be honest, I just wanted to try something new. The show is known for great storytelling, and I knew it would help sharpen my craft and growth as an actor.”

The actor adds that he feels honoured to join a show and he began shooting for the role in July.

“Some of the cast members are people that I know. One is from my hometown… so, I didn’t feel displaced. I also treat my time on set as I would any. I usually grasp and learn as much as I can from my storyline and colleagues.”

The former The Wife will debut on the soapie in August as Nhloso Gasa. He is the second star to join the soapie after Londeka Sishi who will play the role of Busisiwe.‘SCANDAL!’ AIRS SEVEN DAYS
TVSA reports that e.tv recently announced that its soapie, Scandal! now plays seven days a week on.

The show began airing on Saturdays and Sundays, 13 and 14 July at 19:30 after declined viewership.

The show which used to be number one on e.tv lost mover 1 million viewers when Skeem Saam changed to the 19:30 timeslot in March.

Scandal! is currently third place on e.tv with 3.2 million viewers, according to The Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa’s (BRCSA) June figures.
