Surely I can’t be the only one who’s mouth was on the floor while watching Skeem Saam this week.
Abuse against men is just as serious as women’s abuse, and society needs to learn this. Babeile and Sthoko are newly engaged but they’ve had more drama than couples who’ve married for decades.
Perhaps all the bad things they’ve gone through are a sign that they shouldn’t go ahead with their marital plans.
Babeile and Sthoko
If Babeile would have done that to her, he’d be in jail. Babeile is now caught between a rock and a hard place as he loves but knows what she’s done is a crime. He is a cop after all, a good one at that. The irony here is that Sthoko was severely abused in her previous marriage. So, what happens when the abused becomes the abuser?
The message to Sthoko: Get help, sis. There’s no excuse for what you did but your past hurt might be triggering your current behaviour. Babeile’s now suffering in silence as he fears being mocked. Enough is enough!
Babeile and Sthoko
Sthoko’s sister, Pretty, has put her job on the line for her man, Lehasa. She went to her boss Kobus’ office and stole something from Khwezi’s file. Kobus is representing Khwezi, Lehasa’s baby mama, in her case to bring down Lehasa. Pretty, risking your entire career for a man with whom you’re not even married is reckless, sis! You can do better.
