CUTE! BASETSANA KUMALO’S HUBBY ROMEO RENDERS A SONG TO HER ON HER B-DAY
The former Miss South Africa turned 50 on 29 March. The birthday girl celebrated her special day with a three-day festivity, which included a grand Thanksgiving party, a gratitude gala dinner as well and a Thanksgiving picnic.
Some of the celebs who were spotted at the parties include Khaya Dlanga, Siba Mtongana, Tamaryn Green, and more, IOL reported.
“The joy, the love, the laughter, the conviviality was just beautiful… The theme was fun and floaty with shades of pink and a pastel colour palette,” Basetsana shared.
A clip doing the rounds on social media shows Basetsana’s husband Romeo singing a love song to her in front of a bunch of guests at her birthday party. The lovebirds have been married for over 20 years.
In the clip, Romeo could be seen and heard dressed to the nines and singing the 1978 hit song Three Times a Lady by Commodores. According to the Sunday World, the birthday celebration also comes a week after the couple celebrated winning their court case against author Jackie Phamotse.
This also comes after the Randburg magistrate’s court sentenced Phamotse to two years of house arrest on defamation charges.
MORE ABOUT THE ADORABLE COUPLE
In December last year, the lovely couple marked their 23-year-anniversary. Basetsana Kumalo reflected on the many years shared with her other half and said she wouldn’t change a thing.
“23 years of being married to you. What a ride it has been, and I wouldn’t change anything. I would marry you again and again and again. I married my best friend, my confidant,” the former model-turned-businesswoman penned.
In a lengthy appreciation post to Romeo, Basetsana thanked her husband for the love and support that she has witnessed from him over the years. She also prayed to God to continue blessing her husband and their family.
“Thank you for being my number 1 cheerleader and supporter. With you, I feel safe. I know I am deeply loved and protected. Thank you for the blessing of our three amazing children, thank you for your devotion to us, and thank you for being a great father,” she wrote.
