Shebeshxt is reportedly to appear in court

Controversial Limpopo rapper, Lehlogonolo “Shebeshxt” Chauke’s problems are reportedly piling up following his daughter’s passing.


 


 

 
Sunday World reports that Shebeshxt is expected to appear in court in July for a separate incident.

Chauke is reportedly scheduled to appear at the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court for a 2022 case.

Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, who is Limpopo’s National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson says the rapper is currently out on bail and will be in court for trial.“The matter is set down for plea and trial for 11 July 2024 at the Lebowakgomo regional court D,” adds Malabi-Dzhangi.

Malabi-Dzhangi previously revealed to the publication that a case was opened against Chauke after he allegedly stabbed a man in Lebowakgomo.Limpopo Chronicle reported in August 2023 that Chauke was granted bail by the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court after getting arrested in April 2023.His charges varied from assault, attempted murder and discharge of a firearm. It’s alleged he fired four shots in the air at a family home in Ga-Mamaola Village, Limpopo.

The publication adds that when that incident occurred, he was out on bail in another matter of assault and his bail was later revoked.

“On the second incident (10 April 2023) the accused discharged a firearm at another family residence when he went to look for a member of that family. When he was informed that the person he was looking for was not there, he discharged his firearm four times upwards,” the NPA said at the time.The publication reached out to Chauke’s lawyer, Lot Ramusi for a comment on Saturday. Shebeshxt buried his daughter Onthantile Chuene in Lebowakgomo, Zone A today (Saturday, 22 June).

The rapper’s daughter, Onthatile Chuene passed away on Saturday, 8 June following a car crash on the R37 road next to Smelters Mine in Limpopo.

Chauke’s lawyer, Lot Ramusi confirmed to the publication that the rapper will attend her funeral service today following special arrangements with the hospital where he is being treated.

Ramusi also said the family requested Shebeshxt’s medical team to release him from the hospital on Saturday, so that he can attend his daughter’s funeral.

It is believed the rapper will return to the hospital after the funeral ceremony after going multiple surgeries following the fatal car crash.

The rapper’s mother revealed that her son suffered a broken leg, abdominal injuries, and head injuries.

Brenda Mhlongo joins Uzalo

Well-known Generations: The Legacy and The River actress Brenda Mhlongo has joined SABC1’s Uzalo.

 

 

Entertainment commentator Jabu Mcdonald reports that the former The River actress Brenda Mhlongo will play a commissioner in Uzalo.

The fan-favorite actress made her debut in the soapie this week as Commissioner Shezi.In the soapie, Officer Lilly (Noxolo Mathula) snitches on her boss, Captain Mondli (Thembinkosi Thwala) to the commissioner.

Lilly reveals that Mondli is the mysterious “The Punisher” who recently killed a community member.

Commissioner Shezi informs Lilly that it’s her job to investigate Mondli and provide evidence that he’s “The Punisher”.Thwala’s character, Mondli is currently suspended as captain of the KwaMashu Police Station.

Mhlongo also starred in Mzansi Wethu’s Sibongile and The Dlaminis in April as Sibongile’s aunt.

The actress is known for playing Nomafu in The River and for portraying Nandi in SABC1’s soapie, Generations: The Legacy.Brenda Mhlongo is the third actress to join Uzalo this season after Thabisile Zikhali and Mnqobi Kunene.

Kunene stepped into the shoes of eNdlende Geja, while Zikhali returned as Constable Biyela.

IOL reveals that Kunene’s character is an Amabutho leader who is a beacon of loyalty and ambition.

Kunene’s character, Geja emerges as a champion of eNdlende and sets the stage for a riveting clash of ideologies.

Former Ukhozi FM radio personality, Linda Sibiya who is known as “Mr Magic” also joined Uzalo season ten.

Sibiya plays himself as a radio legend who joins K-Mash FM (the fictional radio station on the soapie).
