Metro FM suspends DJ Lamiez Holworthy & LootLove after what they did –

well-known South African radio hosts DJ Lamiez Holworthy and LootLove are making headlines against their alleged suspension from Metro FM. Reports have it that the station suspended the two for attending African National Congress rallies (ANC).

However, against the news, the radio station is yet to address the daring rumours.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter controversial blogger Musa Khawula revealed that the station suspended the two stars. Musa Khawula posted, “Metro FM suspends Luthando Shozi, better known as LootLove, and Lamiez Holworthy for attending the ANC rallies.”

The post has undoubtedly gained thousands of comments and reactions since it was posted. However, Mzansi quickly flooded Musa Khawula’s comment sections with their two cents.

A concerned X user commented, “But it’s unfair; DJ Sbu and other presenters used to campaign for the ANC and were never suspended.” Another X user asked, ” Was Tbo Touch suspended for supporting that party on the Podcast and Chill?”

DJ Lamiez Holworthy and LootLove’s suspension has divided fans in South Africa.

However, before the just-ended elections, several celebrities attended rallies, some publicly endorsing their political parties. However, celebrity endorsements have fast become a global norm.

Barely days before the elections, LootLove hogged headlines when she endorsed ANC at their final rally, Siyanqoba, at the Soccer City in Johannesburg. According to reports, the party deleted the post on some social media feeds after backlash.

Taking to X, the ANC posted, “Award-winning TV and Radio broadcaster LootLove endorses the ANC and encourages people to #VoteANC2024.” The ANC posted LootLove’s endorsement, which received backlash from several politicians, including Mmusi Maimane.

Taking to X Build One South Africa’s president posted, ‘LootLove endorsed a party that loves to loot.’

However, in her endorsement speech, LootLove urged supporters to exercise their rights and do the right thing at the polls. Metro FM has yet to confirm the news, but Mzansi has shown some support for DJ Lamiez Holworthy and LootLove.

However, this is a big blow for LootLove, who recently returned to the station. LootLove left Metro FM in 2021, where she co-hosted Absolute Hip Hop with DJ Speedsta from 2017 until her departure.

However, her return to the station was announced as Metro FM revealed this year’s lineup. LootLove co-hosts the afternoon drive show The Touch Down. Thabo “Tbo Touch” Molefe.
