Mpumelelo Mseleku, the 23-year-old reality TV star, is making headlines once again, but this time, it’s not due to any public disagreements with his children’s mother, Vuyokazi Nciweni. Instead, Mpumelelo is catching attention with his bold and ambitious polygamy plans.
Known for his appearances on popular reality shows like *Uthando Nes’thembu* and *Izingane Zes’thembu,* Mpumelelo has never shied away from discussing his desire to follow in his father Musa Mseleku’s footsteps by embracing a polygamous lifestyle. Previously, he had mentioned plans to marry three wives, but now he’s revealed an even more ambitious goal: he intends to take seven wives.
This declaration comes despite his recent breakup with Vuyokazi, who was initially set to be one of his wives. However, the split has not deterred Mpumelelo from pursuing his vision. “What I can say is that I’m on the mission of taking seven wives, no matter what, and I won’t comment further on that because those who want to know how, they can stay tuned to their TVs,” Mpumelelo told *Daily Sun*.
Mpumelelo’s determination is unwavering, and he’s not afraid to speak out against his critics. “People will always say what they like about me, but I don’t care. I do what I want to do, and I’ll continue to fulfil my dream to be a polygamist. I grew up in a polygamous family where my father had four wives, and I will follow in his footsteps,” he said.
Mpumelelo has emphasized that his intentions are genuine, and he’s serious about building a life with each woman he becomes involved with. “I want to be clear that I’m not playing with any of the women I’m involved with; I want to build a life with them, but sometimes things don’t go as planned and disagreements arise,” he explained.
While he prefers to avoid discussing his recent split with Vuyokazi, due to the surrounding criticism, Mpumelelo made it clear that he’s not afraid to part ways amicably if a relationship doesn’t work out. He’s also revealed to his parents that he wishes to marry a virgin as one of his wives, a tradition he values deeply.
In a previous interview on *The Venting Podcast* last year, Mpumelelo stated that his father has never pressured him into pursuing polygamy. “I love women. I would be lying if I said my father convinced me to be a polygamist. If I were doing it for my father, I would not be able to continue doing it. I am still going to continue. I won’t say how many women I plan to have, but they are more than my father has,” he said.
Mpumelelo has hinted at explosive developments in the upcoming reality shows, urging viewers to understand that his life on TV is genuine and not scripted for entertainment purposes.
In addition to his polygamy ambitions, Mpumelelo is a successful entrepreneur, running several businesses, including a security company, a plastic water container manufacturing company, and a music production company. He credits his mother, MaYeni, for guiding him and teaching him how to treat women.
Despite his young age, Mpumelelo is determined to create a large family, mirroring the one he grew up in. With his ambitious plans and unwavering determination, Mpumelelo Mseleku is sure to continue making headlines in the coming months and years.
