Among the speakers at the memorial was Yolanda Myeza, an actress renowned for her role as Nomalanga in the hit show *Sibongile and The Dlaminis.* With profound emotion, Yolanda shared memories of her mother’s significant influence on her and her siblings. She spoke of how Zanele embraced them with the love of a mother, nurturing their dreams and aspirations with steadfast support. “We were supported in every dream idea that we had; we were raised by force,” Yolanda reflected, her words striking a chord with those in attendance. She emphasized the strong foundation of faith and resilience that Zanele instilled in her family, a legacy that continues to guide them.

Yolanda also recounted the challenges the family faced, particularly following Zanele’s recent cancer diagnosis, which came only three months before her passing. Despite the grief and pain, Yolanda expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they received from their community during this trying time. “Even when she was no more, we felt love,” she remarked, acknowledging the incredible care and assistance provided by those around them in arranging her mother’s memorial and funeral services.

Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule was more than just a radio presenter; she was a passionate businesswoman who dedicated her life to uplifting others. Her commitment to the gospel music industry and her unique ability to connect with people made her a beloved figure across South Africa. The memorial service reflected her impactful legacy, featuring powerful performances by various gospel musicians. Mourners joined in, singing and dancing in celebration of a life that had been lived with purpose and grace.

As the service progressed, it became evident that Zanele’s influence extended well beyond her professional accomplishments. She was a mother, a mentor, and a friend who inspired many through her kindness and dedication. Yolanda’s heartfelt tribute underscored the enduring importance of family, faith, and community in overcoming life’s challenges.
