“To this day I don’t know where she is buried” – Zahara’s hubby reveals

Mpho Xaba, the man who married South African singer Zahara a few weeks before her death, has revealed that he still does not know where she is buried, as her family shut him out on the day following her demise last year.

Zahara passed away on 11 December at a private hospital in Johannesburg after struggling with a liver ailment.Xaba, who proposed to Zahara in March last year, reportedly paid lobola for the Afro-soul musician only a few weeks before her death.

While he had been welcomed gracefully by her family while Zahara lived, Xaba said, all this changed when she passed away he told Sunday World.

“I was completely sidelined on funeral arrangements. [They did] not consult me on anything. Myself and my family were completely sidelined. Our opinions didn’t matter. In fact, we were not allowed to make any opinions,” he said. Xaba, a businessman, said that Zahara’s sisters had started fabricating stories that he wanted to grab her property, which had fuelled negative sentiments against him.

“Her family creates a crisis. They lied, her sisters lied. …They said I was busy claiming Bulelwa’s properties, I don’t know why.

“I have three properties, I don’t know why they would think that because Bulelwa’s house was on the verge of getting auctioned again. And I am the one who said ‘let us get out of that situation’,” he said.

Xaba revealed that despite being sidelined, he was still paying for Zahara’s medical bills.

“I am still paying her hospital bill. Her total hospital bill is around R820,000. Fortunately medical aid covered R712,000 of it. The rest I must pay for it.

“There is no one to pay for it in the family. Obviously because they only care about themselves and what they can get from all of this,” he said. Telly Africa

Zahara’s sisters accused of vandalizing her Roodepoort house, damages amounting to over R300 000

Lumka Mkutukana and Bandezwa Mkutukana-Febana, Zahara’s sisters are again making headlines for the wrong reasons. Last week, they made headlines after it was established that they were selling Zahara’s furniture and other valuables after being evicted from her house.Undoubtedly, the mega sale was a shocker to many. Confirmed reports have it that photos of Zahara’s furniture are circulating WhatsApp with price tags attached. On the other hand, the rumour mill has it that Zahara’s sisters also listed her awards for sale.

However, rumour mill has it that her sisters approached some of Zahara’s former clients and friends to buy some of her furniture before putting the rest on a mega sale. Barely a few days after being evicted, Zahara’s sisters are trending after being accused of vandalism. Reports have it that they vacated the house on Friday night.

However, confirmed reports have that they also left some of Zahara’s clothes scattered around the house. Close sources to the new owner have it that the sisters left Zahara’s Little Falls mansion in Roodepoort in an ugly state.

The late singer’s sisters are said to have vandalized her lush house, prompting the new owner to open a criminal case against Zahara’s sisters.

Reports allege that the sisters trashed the residence and stole a built-in stove. They also allegedly removed the ceiling, and a wooden double garage door broke the front gate and left a poo in the pool.

A close source confirmed the incident and revealed that the new owner is weighing options before pursuing legal action.

The agent told Sunday World, “They have caused damage that easily amounts to over R300 000. However, they stayed at this house rent-free for over six months. What kind of thanks is this? Who does this to someone else’s property?”

However, reports have it that Zahara’s sisters left the house during the day and later returned at night to leave a trail of distraction.

“It makes no sense what they did there. It just screams of anger and ungratefulness. The owner is within his rights to open a case and is currently weighing his options,” the agent said.
